Ever needed a last minute book or article when the library was closed? Have no fear! Library cardholders from all MVLC libraries have 24/7 access to the following databases and electronic resources. In most cases, you will need your library card number and PIN/password to gain access to these sites. Consortium-wide digital materials are selected in accordance with the MVLC Collection Development Policy for Consortium-Wide Digital Resources.

OverDrive is home to thousands of e-books, e-audiobooks, and streaming videos! These are available for free download with your MVLC library card, via the online catalog, the OverDrive web site, or the free Libby app (available in the Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices). Thanks to a partnership between the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Massachusetts Library System, with state funds and federal Institute of Museum and Library Services funding, Massachusetts library cardholders have access to a number of statewide databases.
Manuscripts, Archives & Special Collections in MA The Manuscripts, Archives and Special Collections Directory profiles collections in more than 650 Massachusetts libraries, archives, historical societies and town clerk's offices. The directory provides information about the institution, contacts, services available and volume of material, as well as directions to the repository.
GreenFILE GreenFILE is a research database aimed at educating users about human impact on the environment. It contains scholarly, government and general-interest publications and abstracts, covering a variety of disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology.
